5 Oscar nominated films that should be on your ‘To Watch’ List
The Oscars will be honoring the best film and work put into it that were released in 2016 on February 26th, 2017 in the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, California which will be hosted by the famous talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel for the first time. The polls for voting close today, and in about a week we’d have the deserving and most voted for personas go away with the prestigious award. These films have been chosen for their intricate specialties in their own field, with the most diverse nominations, increasing the magnitude of appreciation from work all around the world. Some of these nominated films that you should definitely watch before the award ceremony are :
‘Lion’ has marked it’s presence on the global cinema and is to hit the cinemas on 24th February in India, two days prior to the Award Show. The celebrities confessed to be overwhelmed bythe script at the screenings all over. Even the cast dealt with an emotional turmoil after meeting the real life- Saroo and his mother. The film is based on a true incident, faced by Saroo Brierley, which is inked in his book, ‘A Long Way Home’, delicately about how as a kid he lost his way from home and ended up being adopted by an Australian family only to find back his trails to India, where he initially lived, after 25 years. The lead includes Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman, Rooney Mara, David Wenham and the young star, Sunny Pawar. Garth Davis, marked his directorial debut and had gone through a tremendous cast search before finding the perfect leads. He wanted to do just to the characters portrayed by the actors to the people who actually went through the pain. The film has been nominated at the 89th Academy Awards for, ‘Best Picture’ to Emile Herman, Iain Canning ad Angie Fielder, ‘Best Supporting Actress’ to Nicole Kidman, ‘Best Supporting Actor’ to Dev Patel, ‘Best Adapted Screenplay’ to Luke Davies, ‘Best Original Score’ to Dustin O’Halloran and Hauschka, ‘ Best Cinematography’ to Greig Fraser, compiling to a solid 6 nominations.
